Money for Education

Playing Florida Lottery games means more than just a win for you; it's a win for millions of students across the state! Florida Lottery has been giving over $1 billion per year towards education for the past two decades. As the lottery's mission is to invest in public education, the Florida Lottery has contributed so far:

- $23 billion for public schools,
- $11 billion for state colleges and universities,
- $8 billion for the Bright Futures scholarship program.

Thanks to the Bright Futures Scholarship Program, which was mainly funded by the Florida Lottery, approximately one million students have been sent to college on a Bright Futures Scholarship. The Florida Lottery also has a number of strategic partnerships with various organizations across the state in order to get support in spreading awareness of the Bright Futures program.

In fact, over 25% of all money raised through Florida Lottery sales goes towards education, making it the second largest allocation after prize payouts.
