Top Prizes - Payment Options
While you can claim the grand prize as an annuity, a cash option is also available. Below you can see how much you can get, depending on the option you choose.
Tier 1 Prize
- Annuity: $1,000 a day for life - You will get one $365,000 payment per year. You are entitled to a minimum of 20 annual installments.
- Cash: $7 million cash lump sum payment - In case there is more than one winner, $7 million will be shared among the winning entries.
Tier 2 Prize
- Annuity: $1,000 a week for life - You will get one $52,000 payment per year. You will be entitled to a minimum of 20 annual installments.
- Cash: $1 million one-time payment - The prize pool for this tier is $5 million, so if there are more than five winners, the $5 million will be distributed evenly between them.
For both annuity prizes, the payments will continue for the rest of the winner's life. The 20-year minimum only applies if a winner passes away within 20 years of winning, and in these cases, any remaining payments are made to the winner's estate.
