Florida Pick 3 FAQS

When do Pick 3 drawings take place?+

Pick 3 has two daily draws. The Midday draw is held at 1:30 PM ET, and the Evening draw at 9:45 PM ET.

How do I enter Pick 3?+

You can enter the Pick 3 game by purchasing a ticket from any authorized Florida Lottery retailer. As the name of the game suggests, you need to select three numbers from 0 to 9 – you can use the same number more than once. Then, you need to pick a play type and a wager amount. You can also boost your chances of getting a winning combination if you add the Fireball feature to your Pick 3 ticket.
The How to Play page has more information about the Pick 3 rules and how you can win by entering this game.

What time do ticket sales close?+

Ticket sales are cut-off 11 minutes before the draws. This means that you need to purchase your tickets for the Midday draw before 1:19 PM and the tickets for the Evening draw before 9:34 PM ET. Any tickets purchased after the cutoff will be entered into the next applicable draw.

How much does a ticket cost?+

Most play types allow you to wager $0.50 or $1 per play, with a couple of exceptions. Straight/Box plays always cost $1, and Combo plays cost anywhere from $1.50 - $6 depending on your numbers. If you choose to apply it, the Fireball option doubles the cost of whatever play you’ve made. The Odds and Prizes page has a table with all the play types and their respective wager amounts.

What is the Fireball option?+

The Fireball option gives players a chance to win if they’ve had a near miss. The Fireball number, which is drawn after the main draw, can replace one of the drawn numbers to make a winning combination. It offers great prizes up to $200, so go visit our How to Play page to find out how it works.

Can I play Pick 3 in advance?+

Yes, you can enter up to 14 consecutive days’ worth of draws by selecting the Advance Play option on your playslip.

How much do I win if I match all the winning numbers?+

The top prize for matching all numbers in the exact order, as part of the Straight play type, is $500. However, you can win many other prizes which you can explore on the Odds and Prizes page.

What are the odds of winning a prize?+

There are lots of play types, and each of them has different odds of winning. The best odds of winning are for the Front Pair and Back Pair play types, which offer 1 in 100 odds, or 1 in 33 odds using the Fireball. Visit the Odds and Prizes page to find out more.

How can I claim a prize I won?+

Any Pick 3 prizes need to be claimed within 180 days of the draw taking place. Please check out the How to Claim page to see the different ways in which you can claim your winnings.
