How can I play the Florida Lotto?+

To enter the Florida Lotto, you’ll need to select 6 different numbers from 1 to 53, and purchase a ticket.
Double Play and EZmatch are optional games you can add to your ticket costing an extra $1 each per play – they offer more chances of winning, more prizes, and instant wins!

When do Florida Lotto drawings take place?+

Florida Lotto draws take place twice every week, on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:15 PM ET.

What time do ticket sales close?+

You need to purchase your Florida Lotto ticket before 10:55 PM ET. Tickets purchased after this cutoff will be entered into the next draw.

How much does a ticket cost?+

Florida Lotto tickets cost $2. If you want to add the Double Play or EZmatch options, these cost $1 each per play.

Can I play the Florida Lotto in advance?+

Yes, you can enter up to 52 consecutive draws.

What is the Double Play option?+

Double Play gives your numbers a second chance, with the opportunity to win cash prizes worth up to $250,000.
It’s a separate draw that takes place after the main Florida Lotto draw, and there are five different prize tiers – matching just 2 numbers wins you a free ticket!

What is the EZmatch option?+

For just $1 extra per play, you can win prizes of up to $500 on the spot, with EZmatch. If you add EZmatch to your Florida Lotto ticket, you’ll get an additional ticket displaying your EZmatch numbers. If any of these match your Lotto picks, you’ve won!

What is the minimum jackpot on offer?+

The Florida Lotto starting jackpot is $1 million.

Does Florida Lotto have a rollover limit or a jackpot cap?+

Florida Lotto has no jackpot caps or rollover limits. The jackpot can grow indefinitely, and is often worth tens of millions.

What is the largest Florida Lotto jackpot ever won?+

The largest Florida Lotto jackpot was won on March 29, 2000, totaling an impressive $81.6 million. There was only one winner, making this the highest amount ever awarded to a winning ticket in the history of Florida Lotto.

What are the odds of winning a prize?+

The overall odds of winning a Florida Lotto prize are approximately 1 in 7.61. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 22,957,480. The same odds also apply to the Double Play draw, but with different prizes. For the EZmatch add-on, the overall odds are 1 in 4.71.

How can I claim a prize I won?+

If you won a Florida Lotto prize, you must claim it within 180 days from the drawing date. There are different ways to claim your prize, from in-store to by mail, and you can explore them on the How to Claim page.
