How to Play Lotto in Florida

Select your numbers

In order to enter the Florida Lotto, you must select six different numbers from 1 to 53. Not sure which to pick? The playslip has a box marked ‘QP’ (Quick Pick) – if checked, the vendor will automatically assign you a set of random numbers. The price of a ticket is $2 per play, and ticket sales close at 10:55 PM ET.

All Florida Lotto tickets come with a multiplier number which will increase your non-jackpot winnings by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X. The multiplier number applies to the main draw as well as Florida Lotto’s Double Play.

Advance Play

Use the Advance Play section of your playslip to indicate how many consecutive drawings you want to play, from 2 up to 52. Leave this area blank if you only want to enter the next draw.

Double Play

Double Play is an additional draw that takes place just after the main one, and gives your chosen numbers a second chance at winning. Entering the Double Play draw costs an extra $1. You can win by matching two, three, four, five, or six numbers, with prizes ranging from a free ticket to $250,000.

EZmatch

With EZmatch, you can instantly win cash prizes up to $500. It costs $1 to add it to your Florida Lotto ticket and a separate ticket with the EZmatch numbers will be printed. If any of your chosen numbers match the ones on the EZmatch ticket, you’ve won! In practice, this means you get 6 shots at winning with every ticket.

There are 11 prize tiers, offering instant fixed prizes ranging from $2 to $500!
